What’s Covered
- High-quality CPR for adults, children and infants
- Using an AED with CPR for adults, children and infants
- Ventilations with a barrier device and bag-valve-mask (BVM)
- Recognizing and relieving choking in adults, children and infants
- Team-based, multiple-responder resuscitation and communication
- Life-threatening emergencies that can lead to cardiac arrest: respiratory arrest, opioid overdose, heart attack, drowning and severe bleeding
Class Formats
Onsite — Fully Instructor-Led
Taught entirely in person by a Red Cross–certified instructor, with hands-on skill practice and team scenarios. About 4.5 hours, including testing scenarios and the final exam.
Blended Learning
Participants complete the online session first (about 1 hour 50 minutes on average, including the online exam), then attend a hands-on skills session at your location of about 2.5 hours.
BLS Recertification
A shorter review class for anyone with a current or recently expired (within one year) Red Cross BLS certificate or equivalent, ending with skills testing and the final exam.
Flat Group Rates
BLS Group Pricing Tiers
BLS is priced in blocks of nine (9) participants to match our 1:9 instructor-to-participant ratio. Your rate is a flat group rate based on the number of participants attending.
A BLS class requires at least three (3) participants. *A minimum billing requirement of six (6) participants applies: if fewer than six attend, the minimum investment for six participants applies.
